Flavocin
Ingredients
Flavocin
is powerful blend of micronutrients shown to effectively
fight joint problems AND oxidative stress in the
bodies of aging animals.
Flavocin has extensive scientific
support and its micronutrients have been tested
in well-controlled clinical studies. Flavocin
contains compounds extracted from natural sources
and is not a pharmaceutical or prescription drug.
Bioflavanol
Known by several trade names such as oligomeric
proanthocyanidin complexes (OPCs), or bioflavanol,
or flavan-3-ol, it is hailed as the most
potent, natural antioxidant compound ever discovered
by science and this active ingredient in Flavocin
has been awarded United States Patent 4,963,527.
Bioflavanoids are water-soluble antioxidants that
are part of a group of natural pigments. Many
scientific studies on Bioflavonoids have demonstrated
the substance’s wide range of qualities.
Bioflavonoids are naturally occurring substances
thought to preserve a normal environment in the
walls of the small blood vessels. Bioflavonoids
are present in all fruits and vegetables and has
anti-allergy properties of the kind that actually
prevent allergic reactions rather than treat the
symptoms. Bioflavonoids possess antiviral, anti-carcinogenic,
anti-inflammatory, antihistamine, and antioxidant
activities, and may therefore be useful in preventing
and/or treating a wide variety of conditions.
Bioflavonoids work in sync with vitamin C to preserve
and protect capillaries, promote circulation,
lower cholesterol levels, and prevent allergic
reactions in your dog.
Note: The Bioflavanol ingredient in Flavocin is
sourced from Grape/Raisin Seed Meal.
Glucosamine HCl
Glucosamine is a building block for cartilage
that is formed when glucose combines with an amino
acid. Glucosamine HCl is a form of Glucosamine
and is particularly useful in healing connective
tissue in your dog. It can repair the damage caused
by arthritis and aid dogs with joint pain by lubricating
the cartilage around the damaged joints. Glucosamine
is often taken in combination with Chondroitin.
Dogs who suffers from arthritis, or joint pain
caused by injury or strain can benefit greatly
from Glucosamine HCl intake. Glucosamine supplementation
helps your dog’s body manufacture collagen
and proteoglycans, which are essential for rebuilding
joints. Because glucosamine HCl and chondroitin
sulfate (see below) are proven to work synergistically
for your dog… the total effect of the combined
ingredients is greater than each of them individually.
Note: The Glucosamine HCl ingredient in Flavocin
is derived from Dried Shellfish Digest.
Chondroitin Sulfate
Chondroitin Sulfate is necessary in the production
of cartilage. Proteoglycans, a vital component
of cartilage tissue, is produced by Chondroitin.
Chondroitin attracts water to the proteoglycans
and holds it there, which is important to maintaining
health joints. It also protects existing cartilage
from premature degeneration by blocking certain
enzymes that destroy cartilage and prevent nutrients
from reaching the cartilage. When used in conjunction
with glucosamine it is much more effective.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C helps maintain and build collagen—the
structural fibers found in your dog’s cartilage
and is essential for healthy bones as well as
healthy joints. It works as an antioxidant helping
to preserve joint tissues from free radicals helps
treat arthritis by strengthening the capillary
walls in joints. Vitamin C helps prevent other
vitamins from being “oxidized” and
helps wounds heal, strengthens blood vessels,
builds connective tissue, healthy gums, skin and
promotes strong teeth and bones in your dog.
Zinc
Zinc is an antioxidant involved in the healing
process and is involved in the synthesis of your
dog’s bone tissue, healthy skin, and disease
resistance. Zinc is an essential mineral that
is found in almost every cell in your dog’s
body. It stimulates the activity of approximately
100 enzymes, which are substances that promote
biochemical reactions in your dog’s body.
It is also important for a healthy immune system
and for healing cuts and wounds. Essential for
normal growth, development and immunity. Keeps
reproductive organs functioning and helps in the
perception of taste and the ability to see at
night.
Cysteine
Cysteine is derived from three different amino
acids and is a potent antioxidant that works synergistically
with glutathione in the liver to detoxify waste
from your dog’s metabolism. It binds to
toxic heavy metals to help eliminate them from
your dog’s body. Many of these heavy metals
are dangerous as they accelerate aging and the
onset of degenerative diseases. This amino acid
has also been found to increase hair growth by
increasing the diameter of hair shafts.
Calcium
Along with Vitamin C it works to stimulate joint
tissue and strong bones in your dog. Calcium is
essential to the proper development of bones and
teeth, and is involved in numerous enzymatic reactions
which produce energy. It is necessary for healthy
muscle functions such as muscle contraction and
relaxation. Calcium also regulates heart rhythm
and activates enzyme systems which induce blood
clotting, and it has the ability to promote healing.
It is one of the most essential major biochemical
elements needed in your dog’s nutrition.
Every organ in the body needs Calcium. It is stored
in the blood and teeth, as well as in the nerves,
muscles and tissues. Calcium promotes tone, power,
strength, longevity, vitality, endurance, rapid
wound healing, and helps regulate metabolism.
It is easy for your dog’s body to become
Calcium deficient because it is used in almost
every function. When the diet is inadequate, Calcium
is one of the first elements to go out of balance.
Calcium raises your dog’s resistance to
viruses, parasites, bacteria, and cancer.
